Once again, we woke up and thought "let's drive a ridiculous amount of time just so Landon can see animals today." No, it really is so much fun, and we love spending weekends doing nothing but making memories and watching Landon have the time of his life. Fossil Rim is about an hour and a half from our house, but worth every second. We had so much fun! This puts Arbuckle Widerness to shame. Although here you can't get unlimited cups of food like we do, only 1 per person. BLAH! It ended up being just enough though. This actually took a lot longer than Arbuckle as well, but there was the cutest little stopping point to get out and stretch. It was up on a hill with the most beautiful overlook, a restaurant and best of all...a petting area with goats! Well, Landon saw them and took off. He was all up in the goats business while they were trying to eat, but they didn't seem to mind. There were even brushes there for the kids to brush them! So sweet! After running around petting goats and taking a bathroom break we loaded back into the car and headed out on the end of the journey. We encountered some VERY rude zebra's only trying to the giraffe's attention who wanted nothing to do with us. We finally had to roll our windows up and drive off! Dustin once again thought it was hilarious when the scary ostriches came to roll my window down and lock it, they are so scary! Trust me! After all the fun was over and we came to the end we of course had to go into the gift shop so Landon could pick out a surprise! What did he pick you wonder...of course a plastic donkey. What else?!?! He even took the donkey into the bath tub that night. Fun filled day, and lots of cute pictures!
