Arbuckle Wilderness

Sadly, the summer was coming to an end for Dustin. One morning after Landon woke up Dustin had the perfect idea, he said we should take Landon to Arbuckle Wilderness! Of course I jumped at the opportunity and immediately checked online to make sure they were open. We finished feeding Landon, got dressed and headed out the door. Dustin, Landon, Bella and I were on a road trip to Davis, Oklahoma. Since we live so close to Oklahoma it was a pretty short drive, and Landon took a good nap. We paid, got 6 cups of food and were off on the adventure. Dustin was driving, and I had Landon sitting in my lap. I turned my head for a split second, meanwhile Dustin looked and Landon and asked me what was in his mouth. I turned his head toward me and that little toot had grabbed a piece of animal food and put it in his mouth! So onto the animals.... our first animal we came across was a camel. Dustin rolled his window down and held the cup of food out, Bella started barking and Landon started crying! The camel stuck his head all the way in the truck and took an whole cup of food out of the cup holder! Okay we thought, is this a good idea... Landon was scared! So we kept driving and were talking to Landon about all the animals, thankfully we warmed up a few minutes later and the rest of the tour was so much fun!! He was trying to take in all the animals, and wanted so badly to touch them. We of course didn't let him, or even let the animals get near him. He was in total amazement, and couldn't turn his head fast enough to see all of them. Before we knew it, we were out of food and the adventure was over. We had so much fun, and it was such a neat experience for Landon! We went into the gift shop and Dustin let Landon pick out any animal he wanted, and of all things he wanted the ugly ostrich! I hate those things.
