Landon turns ONE!

One year ago our lives changed forever in the most amazing way possible. The love of our life was born, a love like no other. We can't imagine our lives any other way, and we are having the time of our life! Landon is such a happy baby who is such a good sleeper and eater! He is such a joy to be around and so entertaining. Since he was just a little baby he has always been so expressive, and to this day he is just that! I am so lucky to be with him all day and see all these little faces he makes (my favorite is still when he puffs his lips and snorts)! When we get down on life and worry about small things, we look at Landon and remember that as long as he is happy and healthy, that is all that matters.

Landon's one year appt. went GREAT! Dr. Terry told me many times how proud she was of Landon and everything he is doing. He is getting so big, he is so smart and such a sweet baby! We love Dr. Terry and feel so lucky to have her as Landon's pediatrician! She is so sweet, she kissed Landon on his head and told him how proud she was of him. Now that Landon is one, we have to switch him to whole milk. Little by little we are changing him over. He seems to like it (this child likes everything except watermelon) so its been a easy change. He cruises around everywhere and takes a few steps here and there. He has 8 teeth, with 4 more breaking through (his molars).
- 80 percentile for weight.................25 lbs
- 92 percentile for height..................31.5 Dr. Terry said he would be TALL!
- 99 percentile for head....................GOOD news is his head hasn't grown any since we went in July! His follow up appt with his neurosurgeon is Nov. 4
-LOVES to be outside, I think he would live outdoors if possible!
- Loves to go on walks, wagon rides, loves his swing, 4-wheeler rides, and riding in his car
- Fascinated with animals. He gets so excited when he sees any animal!
- We think Landon is going to be a lefty! Dustin is excited- he already has Landon's life planned out... a left handed baseball player makes more money he says! HA!
- So friendly (sometimes has to warm up a little) and will pretty much let anyone hold him
- Waves "bye bye" to everyone and everything!
- Says dada, touch, this, Bella, yes... still working on momma! He said this a couple of times back in May and hasn't said it since!!!!!!!! :(

The day of his birthday (September 17) my dad, Landon and I went to go visit Dustin at school and have lunch. We went to eat at the Amish Bakery in Kemp that is SO good! When we got home we from visiting daddy at school, we gave Landon his cupcake and balloon and had a "mini" party! He was a little unsure about the cupcake at first, but after one taste it was all over from there! He even got icing on the side of his hair, not sure how that happened! We had a great day, and I just couldn't believe he was ONE! It didn't even feel real! Saturday was the day of his birthday party, which we had worked so hard on! I wanted it to be perfect. I know he is only one, but this was his first party! We decided to do a pirate theme which turned out super cute! Landon was so blessed to have so many friends and family there at his party! We had so much fun, and Landon got so many fun things for his birthday! Thank you to everyone that came, it really means so much to us!
